The Available Books dialog shows Installed Books. The only option to remove a book is Delete Book. It would be nice if there were an option to not load a book without deleting it from the file system.

Reasons:

For example, I do not want to load the Websters Dictionary even though it comes in the default installation.

I would like to disable loading of the Daily Devotional which is hardcoded as part of the application. If I use the application as a study tool I am not using the Daily Devotional and do not want to be forced into seeing it every time the application is invoked. Is there possibly some licensing agreement which has forced this to take place?

I would like to download a variety books (when I want to deal with downloading) and then choose which books show in the book picker as my application usage changes.

This is a great idea.

My suggestion is in the installer on the tab for installed books to have a button/checkbox (whatever) that the user can click to show/hide a Book from the view of the desktop.

BD would have to be changed to not show them.

The Daily Devotional that is built in to JSword is hard-wired. It is a core feature of BD. Figuring out how to hide it would be fine.
